Coats

All of our coats are a Fastdogs UK design. They are styled to suit the shape of a sighthound and remain in place during vigorous exercise. The outer material is selected to ensure that the coat will be properly waterproof, so that rain will bead and run off, rather than be absorbed making the coat heavy and difficult to dry. A wide belly strap has been added to allow the coat to be securely adjusted on a variety of dogs, while also offering additional protection to the vulnerable chest and stomach areas.

Our coats are designed to suit the sighthound's shape, with a wide belly strap for security and protection. Available with trim in red or royal blue.

Martingale Collars and Leads

These soft webbing collars have been designed with both sighthounds and nervous dogs in mind. They are the only real alternative to the wide leather ‘fishtail’ shaped collars traditionally worn by sighthounds. When properly fitted they prevent the dog backing out and escaping, yet remain comfortably loose round the lower part of the dog's neck the rest of the time. As an owner of a nervous dog who is a master at slipping his securely fastened leather collar when frightened, this was a must have item for me.

The matching leads have been designed with the usual loop at one end, as well as an additional hand loop at the base of the lead where it attaches to the collar. This extra loop is invaluable in situations where you need to keep your dog close by, or when practising heelwork. The main hand loop has an O-ring attached making it easy to secure around your waist or across your shoulders when your dog is off lead.

Our martingale collar offers security and comfort, while the matching lead has an additional hand loop close to the collar clip, for extra security and control. Available in black, red, royal blue, or forest green.

Leather Collars and Leads

These are the more traditional wear for your sighthound. The collars come in four different sizes, so from Irish Wolfhounds to Italian Greyhounds we have the leather collar to fit your sighthound. Available with matching leather leads.

Our traditional leather fishtail collar and matching lead are pretreated with leather balsam, for suppleness and weather resistance. Available in black, red, or tan.

Grooming

Over the years I have used many grooming products on my dogs and by far and away the most effective is the Zoom Groom®. It removes a phenomenal amount of hair, and being made of rubber makes it softer on the thin skin of sighthounds.

The stripping combs are a product I discovered recently. Many Greyhound trainers will often go over their dogs with a blunt hacksaw blade and this tool does the same job, but more safely! Whereas a Zoom Groom® loosens and removes outer layers of fur, these combs remove the soft fluffy undercoat, which is particularly useful during times of seasonal coat changes.
